About Me

Hi there, glad to be connected to as many horse folks as possible.  I am 40....something and just back in the show ring this year.  Just into small saddle club stuff but also support my daughter who shows both her big horse as well as two miniature mares.   I began showing at about the age of 14ish and continued until I was about 23 or 24.  At that time took off to a late start in college and then of course, marriage, first home and a baby on the way.  I was out of horses for about 8 or 9 years when the "bug" hit me again and I bought a green broke paint horse and a nasty shetland pony.  Cute as can be but not a good childs first pony for my daughter.  I sold the pony as a companion to a great family but continued on the journey with my paint horse "Cheyenne".  It was a battle for a few years, but now he is the greatest trail horse in the world.  Unfortunately taking my love for horses back to western games as before, the ol' trail horse won't cut it although my cute little 14.1 canadian mare "Spirit" will.   My daughter is riding Spirits 7 year old son "monty" and showing in youth games.  He's  big heavy fellow with over 16 hands in height but is a gentle soul and seems to be enjoying the fun.  Sooo my husband and ol' Cheyenne hit the trails and make a great team.  Spirit also gave birth to another son "Nikko" last summer and I'm hoping for gamer #2 on the way!  I'm now on the board as president for the Dunnville Saddle Club and hope to see ya al' at the shows.  Please check our website www.thedunnvillesaddleclub.com for more info.  "Happy Trails"  Tina Smith
